The Wonderful Adventures of Nils
Nils no Fushigi na Tabi

Nils Holgersson is a mischievous 14 year old boy living with his poor Swedish family on their farm. One day while being left home alone for terrorizing the farm animals, Nils captures a magical fairy. She tries to bargain for her freedom but when Nils refuses, she shrinks him down to a miniature size and gives him the ability to talk with animals. As the farm animals attempt to get revenge on their tormentor, a flock of geese happen to be flying overhead. One of the domesticated animals, a goose named Morten, dreams of seeing the world and teams up with Nils to make their escape along with a hamster named Carrot. Together, the trio join the geese on an adventure visiting many places where they learn about courage, responsibility and friendship.
